Head & Shoulders Damage Rescue

I recently got the privilege of trying out Head & Shoulders Damage Rescue shampoo and conditioner thanks to Influenster! My hair was in need of this shampoo and conditioner very badly because of the constant usage of a curling iron and straightener. This shampoo has a great smell which is described as a light peach scent. I have seen a difference in my hair since using this shampoo and conditioner and I have only been using it for a few weeks. You can pick up these at your local drugstore for around $5-7. Head & Shoulders offer several different scents if this one is not for you. But I have really enjoyed this one and plan on repurchasing it.

July Favorites 2012

Hey everyone long time no blog huh?! So sorry for not keeping up with things but to be honest I have either been busy or just not motivated to write. But I am going to try to get back on track again! :) Here are some things I have been loving this month!

Left to right:

Revlon Colorstay Nail Polish in Delicious- I love this color for summer! Its perfect and if I haven't had it on my nails I have had the one beside it. If you can't find this one it's also a dupe for an Essie polish called e-nuf is e-nuf.

 Wet n Wild's Mega Last Sugar Coat- This color is such a light baby pink and I'm obsessed with wearing it too. These polishes are so amazing for the price. They are around $1.99 and last longer than more expensive brands.

 Elf Kabuki Brush- (sorry I had just used it) but I love this brush and truth be told all of Elf's brushes! I think they are so soft, never scratchy, just overall great quality for the price.

Garnier Moisture Rescue Gel Moisturizer- This moisturizer is so refreshing for the summer months. It has a bit of a cooling effect on your face after you apply it. Plus it doesn't leave your face feeling greasy.

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Lovesick- I jumped on the bangwagon! I couldn't resist trying it but I do love this product. It's long wearing, has a minty smell when you first put it on, and is just a lip product that you don't have to really think about when putting on.

June Favorites 2012

Hey everyone well June was a long crappy month for me but here's hoping for a better July! :) Here are a few of my favorites.

Remington curling wand- I curled my hair a ton this month and I love this wand! It heats up really fast, and I find that I curl my hair faster with it too! Plus I kinda think its pretty.

Elf Mist and Set Spray- Now this sat in my drawer forever because I wasn't that crazy about it at first, but now that summer is here again I decided to give it a try. I love it now! The trick is to spray your face and then get a tissue and lightly pat the areas that are still wet and your makeup will be set!

Ulta Duet in Precious pink lipstick/ Princess lip gloss- Not sure if Ulta still has these shades because I got this in a set of 5 for Christmas. But I seriously LOVE these shades together. I am really impressed with Ulta lipsticks because they are long wearing and although they fade it still leaves a stain on your lips. I will be hunting these shades down when I use these up so I really hope they still have them!

Sonia Kashuk Hidden Agenda Concealer Palette- This concealer palette is amazing and covers my acne scars and blackheads well. It comes with 3 concealer shades and one setting powder.

A few things I've been loving so far..

Hey friends! So I have never been much of a reader. I always admire those people out there that can breeze through books! It takes me forever to finish just one! But last week we had a few rainy days here and I just got in a mood where I wanted to read. So I went to my local library and had a few books in mind. Well on my hunt for a certain book I stumbled upon Betty White's book called If you ask me (And of course you won't). I love Betty White and am a huge fan of the Golden Girls so i had to check it out! This book was such an easy read. It's filled with pictures, and advice about life. I finished this book in two days! Which is a total record for me. I loved it so much!!

Yesterday I went shopping with my neice. We went to Walmart because I wanted to get a new candle because I wasn't really feeling the candles that I have. So I picked this new one up by Mainstays in Apples & Berries. I burned it last night and the scent filled up my whole room!! I love it.  Also while I was picking out a candle I decided to pick up the little bars (similiar to the scentsy bars) to burn in my warmer. They are only $2! I picked up this one in Fresh Air. It smells kinda like laundry detergent.

(p.s. Do you spy my warmer behind the bars? I got it at Walmart too for $15.00 check them out if you can't afford the Scentsy ones that are $30-$40)

I've been using Avon Foot Works beautiful overnight cream for my feet. I have really rough heels gross I know :(  but this cream has helped my heels a ton!! And it is almost always on sale for 2.99.

Lastly I also have been using the Avon Advance Techniques Frizz Control Lotus Shield. I use it everytime I wash my hair and put it on after my shower. I really feel like this has helped my hair. Before I would need to put some type of smoothing cream after I straighten my hair now since using this I don't have to!

May Favorites 2012

• Sharpener- I found this in a pack of two at my local Big Lots for $1.00. I believe it is from the Walmart line that also makes brushes. I really like it because it has the plastic cover over it so incase you are in a rush and don't have time to empty it it's not going to make a mess.

• Philosophy travel brush- I got this at Big Lots as well for $3.00. It is great for a makeup bag because it had the lid to protect the brush.

• Physicians Formula Happy Booster blush in Rose- When I first got this I wasn't that crazy about it but over time it has grown on me.

• Foundation brush from Walmart- If you have not tried the brushes from Walmart you are missing out! They are great quality and very reasonable. I've been loving this one for concealer.

• Simple Facial Toner- If you have followed my 30 day challenges I mentioned this a few times. I love the Simple line and look forward to trying more from them. The toner is amazing and I will definitely be repurchasing this again.

• Benefit Hoola Bronzer- I don't wear bronzer everyday but when I do this is my go to. It is matte and is great for conturing.

My favorite as of now would be my Simple facial toner. It feels so great on my skin and I am always amazed at how much dirt comes off on the cotton ball when I use it! I highly recommend it.

Small update of me

I just wanted to share some exciting news... I got into the school that I applied for! I will be taking all online classes through this university in the spring! I am soooo excited because I believe that this will be so much more better for me. I am happy to be getting back to school in the fall and more excited to start the new school in the spring. Review Loreal Infallible 18hr Foundation

Ok so if you saw my post of the good deal I got on this foundation you will know how excited I was to try it! I had seen positive reviews on it so when I saw it on clearance at Walgreens and I had two coupons I couldn't pass it up. I just wanted to let you that I hate this foundation. So much so that I think I am taking it back after I get off today.

Pros: I like that it has a pump

Cons: Dries too fast not enough time to blend it out evenly
            Looks cakey no matter how small of an amount that you use
            Feels kind of sticky on the face
            Face is an oily mess by the end of the day

If anyone can recommend a good foundation for oily skin let me know! Have a great day :)

This would probably be in a city that offered lots of activities, shopping, and dining. I have not traveled much so I don't really have any city to compare it to. But California seems so nice!

Clearance Alert!

So I just wanted to quickly let you know that Walgreens is having clearance right now on a few beauty products. I was needing a new foundation so I decided to try out the Loreal Infallible 18 hr foundation. It was on clearance for $7.49. So I went in to buy some laundry detergent that was on sale for $2.99 and I bought the foundation, I used two coupons (both $2.00 off) for loreal and ended up paying $7.01 with tax!! They had a ton of lipsticks on clearance for $4.99 (I think) so if you have some of those manufacturer coupons for loreal thats like getting a lipstick for almost free! There were other brands that had some stuff on clearance but nothing that interested me. So check your walgreens out! p.s. Have you tried this foundation? If so let me know your thoughts on it! :)

Day 21 — Favorite Lipstick?

I am not a huge lipstick fan. I hate the smell of lipstick. But if I had to pick something similar to a lipstick it would be the Revlon Lip Butters. They don't have a smell or yucky taste. They come in a wide range of colors. Although for me they aren't really moisturizing like some people claim. Another downsize is they are not long lasting at all. But they are a nice alternative.

Influenster Product Review- Fragrance Mist

Ok so if you saw my post yesterday you know I got my Influenster vox box in the mail! Today I am bringing you a review over the Bath and Body Works Fine Fragrance Mist in Japanese Cherry Blossom. My first initial thought when I smelled it in the bottle- I didn't care for it. It smelled like a older smell (old lady perfume). But since these products were sent to me for review I decided to still give it a try. I put it on this morning and have only had it on for an hour and it is driving me insane! I was careful not to spray two sprays on myself cause it smells strong. I only sprayed it once and it is horrible!! So I will not wear this again. I plan on giving it away. Not sure to who cause I don't even think I want to smell it on someone else! I am disappointed cause I wish I would have gotten a scent I liked. But I am also kind of on the fence about BBW. I enjoy thier body washes but thier perfumes are always a bit much for me. None of them have ever smelt that great to me. But again this was free so I will still take it! I can always give it to someone else who might enjoy it.

Day 9 Favorite pair of shoes?

This is hard for me to say cause there is always that comfy pair that are your favorite then there are the ones that are more dressy. So I'm just gonna go with comfy. I actually don't have these anymore I have been meaning to get another pair but I loved them so much that they eventually fell apart! They are the Adidas foam flip flops in black and pink! These feel so great on the feet! They were perfect for around the house or running quick errands on a lazy day.

Review: Simple Toner and Facial Cleansing Wipes

Today I am sharing a review over two Simple products that I have tried in the last week. I had been very curious about this brand since I spotted it in the drugstores. Luckily I was given the Facial Cleansing Wipes in my Target bag that I got for FREE! I was so excited and I was not let down. I used these on a really hot day to try to freashen up my face before I put on my makeup and it worked perfectly! My face felt soft and clean. Also I use them to finish taking off my stubborn eyeliner at night and they work well for that.

I also tried the Toner and this stuff is amazing! I had never really used a toner not sure if thats bad or not... but anyway I love using this after I was my face and I'm always shocked at how much dirt and makeup is still leftover after I have washed my face.

My weekend so far

Hey everyone! Just felt like writing a bit about my weekend so far. Yesterday I slept in the first time in forever! But that was after I stayed up awhile with my neice taking care of my new baby nephew who I  am obsessed with! Anyway so I went to eat lunch at one of my favorite places in town called Schlotzsky's! They have the most AMAZING cracked pepper chips!! Then I went to the library in search of a new book.

Today I slept in once again! Which is a new record for me cause I normally wake up a 8:30 on the weekends! I went to workout and then went to Bahama Bucks for a strawberry daquiri shaved ice! I needed something to cheer me up because I am sort of down. You see if I had stayed in school I would be graduating college next weekend like my old classmates. I am trying to avoid thinking about the what if's but its hard when I am constantly seeing Facebook posts from people who are preparing for graduation next weekend. I know that everything happens for a reason but I can't help but admit to be a little jealous. Which I kinda hate myself for having that feeling. I know it will all work out in the end though but it just kinda sucks. Anywho, later today I am supposed to be going to a local mexican restaurant to celebrate Cinco De Mayo with some of my family. My brother and his band will be performing there (his band plays mexican music lol). The rest of the day will be spent with family! So that may be just what I need. :) How's your weekend going?
