May Favorites 2012

• Sharpener- I found this in a pack of two at my local Big Lots for $1.00. I believe it is from the Walmart line that also makes brushes. I really like it because it has the plastic cover over it so incase you are in a rush and don't have time to empty it it's not going to make a mess.

• Philosophy travel brush- I got this at Big Lots as well for $3.00. It is great for a makeup bag because it had the lid to protect the brush.

• Physicians Formula Happy Booster blush in Rose- When I first got this I wasn't that crazy about it but over time it has grown on me.

• Foundation brush from Walmart- If you have not tried the brushes from Walmart you are missing out! They are great quality and very reasonable. I've been loving this one for concealer.

• Simple Facial Toner- If you have followed my 30 day challenges I mentioned this a few times. I love the Simple line and look forward to trying more from them. The toner is amazing and I will definitely be repurchasing this again.

• Benefit Hoola Bronzer- I don't wear bronzer everyday but when I do this is my go to. It is matte and is great for conturing.

Finally made it to the end! My favorite nail polish would have to be Wet n Wild's Megalast in I need a refresh-mint. The formula of all the new wet n wild polishes are great for the price and the colors are so pretty!

My favorite as of now would be my Simple facial toner. It feels so great on my skin and I am always amazed at how much dirt comes off on the cotton ball when I use it! I highly recommend it.

Small update of me

I just wanted to share some exciting news... I got into the school that I applied for! I will be taking all online classes through this university in the spring! I am soooo excited because I believe that this will be so much more better for me. I am happy to be getting back to school in the fall and more excited to start the new school in the spring. Review Loreal Infallible 18hr Foundation

Ok so if you saw my post of the good deal I got on this foundation you will know how excited I was to try it! I had seen positive reviews on it so when I saw it on clearance at Walgreens and I had two coupons I couldn't pass it up. I just wanted to let you that I hate this foundation. So much so that I think I am taking it back after I get off today.

Pros: I like that it has a pump

Cons: Dries too fast not enough time to blend it out evenly
            Looks cakey no matter how small of an amount that you use
            Feels kind of sticky on the face
            Face is an oily mess by the end of the day

If anyone can recommend a good foundation for oily skin let me know! Have a great day :)

Rosebud Salve: I love, love, love this salve!! I used to have some but used it all up and I can't find them anywhere here!

Coach Poppy Perfume: I smelt this in a magazine and loved it! But they don't have it at my ulta!

Day 23 — Dream House Location?

This would probably be in a city that offered lots of activities, shopping, and dining. I have not traveled much so I don't really have any city to compare it to. But California seems so nice!

Clearance Alert!

So I just wanted to quickly let you know that Walgreens is having clearance right now on a few beauty products. I was needing a new foundation so I decided to try out the Loreal Infallible 18 hr foundation. It was on clearance for $7.49. So I went in to buy some laundry detergent that was on sale for $2.99 and I bought the foundation, I used two coupons (both $2.00 off) for loreal and ended up paying $7.01 with tax!! They had a ton of lipsticks on clearance for $4.99 (I think) so if you have some of those manufacturer coupons for loreal thats like getting a lipstick for almost free! There were other brands that had some stuff on clearance but nothing that interested me. So check your walgreens out! p.s. Have you tried this foundation? If so let me know your thoughts on it! :)

Day 21 — Favorite Lipstick?

I am not a huge lipstick fan. I hate the smell of lipstick. But if I had to pick something similar to a lipstick it would be the Revlon Lip Butters. They don't have a smell or yucky taste. They come in a wide range of colors. Although for me they aren't really moisturizing like some people claim. Another downsize is they are not long lasting at all. But they are a nice alternative.

Physicians Formula Organic Wear Mascara in Black

This is the only mascara that I will use! It doesn't burn my eyes and isnt flakey. Now granted it doesn't do amazing things for my lashes it's average in that way. But I still love it!

Influenster Product Review- Fragrance Mist

Ok so if you saw my post yesterday you know I got my Influenster vox box in the mail! Today I am bringing you a review over the Bath and Body Works Fine Fragrance Mist in Japanese Cherry Blossom. My first initial thought when I smelled it in the bottle- I didn't care for it. It smelled like a older smell (old lady perfume). But since these products were sent to me for review I decided to still give it a try. I put it on this morning and have only had it on for an hour and it is driving me insane! I was careful not to spray two sprays on myself cause it smells strong. I only sprayed it once and it is horrible!! So I will not wear this again. I plan on giving it away. Not sure to who cause I don't even think I want to smell it on someone else! I am disappointed cause I wish I would have gotten a scent I liked. But I am also kind of on the fence about BBW. I enjoy thier body washes but thier perfumes are always a bit much for me. None of them have ever smelt that great to me. But again this was free so I will still take it! I can always give it to someone else who might enjoy it.

Hey everyone hope you are having a great weekend! Even though it's almost over! I swear it seems like I just blink and its Monday again! Anyway I wanted to do a post about how I get things for free or nearly free! I wanted to suggest a few websites that I visit frequently to see if there are any freebies available that I am interested in.

These sites are pretty similar but once in awhile have a few different offers. It is best to try to check every day as they add new offers everyday.
A few things that I have gotten for free through these sites (more but these are all I could remember) Haha!:

So tonight I ordered a meal to go and walked out of there paying NOTHING!! :)

Day 9 Favorite pair of shoes?

This is hard for me to say cause there is always that comfy pair that are your favorite then there are the ones that are more dressy. So I'm just gonna go with comfy. I actually don't have these anymore I have been meaning to get another pair but I loved them so much that they eventually fell apart! They are the Adidas foam flip flops in black and pink! These feel so great on the feet! They were perfect for around the house or running quick errands on a lazy day.

Review: Simple Toner and Facial Cleansing Wipes

Today I am sharing a review over two Simple products that I have tried in the last week. I had been very curious about this brand since I spotted it in the drugstores. Luckily I was given the Facial Cleansing Wipes in my Target bag that I got for FREE! I was so excited and I was not let down. I used these on a really hot day to try to freashen up my face before I put on my makeup and it worked perfectly! My face felt soft and clean. Also I use them to finish taking off my stubborn eyeliner at night and they work well for that.

I also tried the Toner and this stuff is amazing! I had never really used a toner not sure if thats bad or not... but anyway I love using this after I was my face and I'm always shocked at how much dirt and makeup is still leftover after I have washed my face.

My weekend so far

Hey everyone! Just felt like writing a bit about my weekend so far. Yesterday I slept in the first time in forever! But that was after I stayed up awhile with my neice taking care of my new baby nephew who I  am obsessed with! Anyway so I went to eat lunch at one of my favorite places in town called Schlotzsky's! They have the most AMAZING cracked pepper chips!! Then I went to the library in search of a new book.

Today I slept in once again! Which is a new record for me cause I normally wake up a 8:30 on the weekends! I went to workout and then went to Bahama Bucks for a strawberry daquiri shaved ice! I needed something to cheer me up because I am sort of down. You see if I had stayed in school I would be graduating college next weekend like my old classmates. I am trying to avoid thinking about the what if's but its hard when I am constantly seeing Facebook posts from people who are preparing for graduation next weekend. I know that everything happens for a reason but I can't help but admit to be a little jealous. Which I kinda hate myself for having that feeling. I know it will all work out in the end though but it just kinda sucks. Anywho, later today I am supposed to be going to a local mexican restaurant to celebrate Cinco De Mayo with some of my family. My brother and his band will be performing there (his band plays mexican music lol). The rest of the day will be spent with family! So that may be just what I need. :) How's your weekend going?

Day 5 Favorite thing to do?

This is a tough question cause there are alot of things I like to do. But I guess my favorite would be to shop! If I had the money I would shop everyday! Whether that be online,  in store, garage sales, you name it! Lol I just love the feeling of getting something new!

Target Bag with Samples

Hey everyone! Just wanted to share with you that I got my Target bag that I signed up for. The bag comes with a cute little makeup bag , 5 samples, and a book of Target coupons for beauty items that you can purchase! Oh and the best part was that this was all FREE!!!! Target sends out these bags a couple of times a year I believe. I follow Noveau Cheap's blog and she always posts when Target is doing the makeup bag sample and she posts a link to where you can sign up for it. Now there is the only one issue...that everytime that Target does this makeup bag sample it almost always crashes or acts really screwy. I put in my info last time and never got a bag but this time I did! So you never know if you will get one or not. Also it will probably say sorry no more samples but just keep refreshing and trying! And hey if you get one its great but if not no money was lost! Obviously it is over for this time but next time use these tips! Now on to the goodies!

Day 4 Favorite Foundation?

I haven't found my holy grail foundation yet but out of the ones I have tried it would have to be the original Bare Minerals! I am currently using liquid foundation and although I like it, it doesn't compare to the great light feeling of Bare Minerals. I plan on purchasing a cheaper alternative to this or maybe I will splurge and get this one day!
