Sorry for the confusion!!

I am pretty new to blogging and have a lot to learn, with that being said I noticed that some of my pictures that I had posted are not showing up on my blog. So long story short I thought I could edit them out and it ended up posting my feb favorites again! So sorry everyone! 

Recent Haul!!

Throughout this month I have done a bit of shopping and here are some goodies I got! All non makeup related!

I got these from Target and they were on clearance for 7.48! I loved the jewels at the top and at that price I couldn't pass them up! The only downside is that the back gave me a blister at the back of my foot! But hopefully after I wear them a couple of times I can break them in!

These I found also at Target! They are super comfy and were 16.99.

These are from Rue 21 and are kind of like a knock off TOMS. They are comfy too but the bottoms are kind of slick when you walking. Price 16.99-18.99

Ok so this is the last pair of shoes haha! I didn't realize it was more of a shoe haul! So obviously I am a total flats girl! I love the look of heels but I just can't handle them for more than 5 minutes! So anyway these are so adorable I love the color and the cute little bow on them. I got these at Ross or Tjmaxx. I think for under 20.00.

I have been into what I call edgy jewelry lately! So when I saw that necklace I had to have it! I got it from Charming Charlies for under 20.00 (it also came with a matching pair of earrings which look exactly like the necklace), the white pyramid bracelet is from Forever 21, I ordered this from their site and I believe it was 5.50. The bracelet on top was such a steal I got it at Goodwill for 99CENTS!! haha. I am a firm believer of thrifting, so if you have never been you are missing out!!

February 2012 Favorites!

Hey everyone! This is my first monthly favorites post hope you enjoy it!

Aquaphor Lip Repair
I bought this at the end of the month in February and in just a few days it healed my lips completely! My lips were dry and peeling and just overall not in good shape. I had tried Carmex, Blistex, EOS, Vaseline, and although those helped a little none of those could compare to what Aquaphor did!

Jordana Fabu liner in Black
I had asked the girls on Beauty Broadcast what a good liner for beginners was, well this was one of their suggestions. I really love this liner. It is easy to use and gives me good control for my shakey hand! I got it for 1.99 at Walgreens so you can't beat that!


Wet n Wild Mega Last Polishes
When I saw the display at walgreens with all those beautiful spring colors I knew I had to get some! I love the formula of them and the huge brush!







Brushes from Walmart
I do not own any highend brushes so I can't compare them to anything like Sigma, but these brushes are so soft, don't shed, decently priced, and are easy to clean!I don't think they have a name but the are in a blue/gold/clear package if that helps lol! Check them out if you are interested!

Voila Garlic Chicken
I had this for dinner a few weeks ago and it was so yummy! It had carrots, broccolli, noodles, chicken, and corn! 1. What was your favorite food when you were a child?  Probably pizza its always been my favorite!
2. What’s the #1 most played song on your iPod? I dont have an Ipod I have songs on my phone, which are all kind of older songs but I guess out of those Tonight is the Night by Outasight.  
3. What is one of your favorite quotes? "You will receive what you have the courage to believe you are worth"- unknown
4. What’s your favorite indoor/outdoor activity? Indoor maybe play board games and outdoor take my dog to the park.
5. What chore do you absolutely hate doing? Haha all the chores lol!! But the one I hate the most would probably be dishes!
6. What is your favorite form of exercise? I am not an active person whatsoever but I would say pilates.
7. What is your favorite time of day/day of the week/month of the year? Favorite time of the day (if its in the work week then 5:00 lol but if its on the weekend I would say morning hours. Day of the Week Saturday! Month December cause its such a fun month!
8. What’s your least favorite mode of transportation? Well I have never been on any other form of transportation except a car. But I am afraid of flying.
9. What is your favorite body part? Maybe my legs
10. What sound do you love? good music!
11. Have you ever had something happen to you that you thought was bad but it turned out to be for the best? Probably loosing my job but it worked out for the best cause I now have one 10 times more better!
12. What was one of the best parties you’ve ever been to? I had alot of fun at my 22nd birthday. I had some friends meet me at my sisters house and we played a really fun game, ate finger foods, and went to the casino where I won $22.22!! Haha not much but still funny.
13. What was the last movie, TV show or book that made you cry or tear up? P.S. I Love You omggg I bauled like a baby!
14. What’s the hardest thing you’ve ever done? Quitting school but so far it has proven to be a good decision I plan on going back soon though!
15. What was the last experience that made you a stronger person? For sure when I recently started going back to church. It has given me a whole new look on life and my faith has gotten stronger and has really helped me overcome a lot!
16. What did you do growing up that got you into trouble? Probably beat up my nephew. He was 3 years younger than me and we fought all the time!
17. When was the last time you had an amazing meal? I cant remember the day but it was probably last week my mom made enchiladas! They are amazing.
18. What’s the best/worst gift you’ve ever given/received? Can't think of anything sadly! I always love all the gifts I get big or small!
19. What do you miss most about being a kid? I guess just the mentallity you have when you are a kid everthing is so much more innocent.
20. What is your first memory of being really excited? Hmmm I can't remember! Probably a christmas morning cause I got a bike!
21. What was the first thing you bought with your own money? Nothing huge just went shopping for clothes!
22. When was the last time you were nervous? I am naturally a nervous person so there's no telling!
23. What is something you learned in the last week? Can't think of it now but I'm sure something if that makes sense.
24. What story does your family always tell about you? My mom always tells the story of when I was little and we would take my dad to work and by his work there was a field with cows and she would ask me "what do cows give you?" and "I would say they give me meek" aka milk lol.
25. At what age did you become an adult? I have always been more mature for my age. But mentally I'd say 22.

What's in my makeup bag

I have seen several people do this on youtube and blogs so I thought I would share what is in mine! Afterall we all are a little nosey ;) The little makeup bag I found at the thrift store. It probably came in a makeup set cause it says Estee Lauder. This has worked for a while but I have been needing a new one.

Products I regret buying

Today I am going to share a few products that I regret buying. I know a lot of stores will take beauty items back but I am usually horrible with receipts! I am trying to be better but anyways now to the complete fails (in my opinion).

Sally Hansen Gem Crush Nail polish


I got the glitter fever just like alot of people out there! lol When I saw that Sally Hansen came out with new glitter polishes I wanted to get my hands on them! Well thankfully I only bought one! After applying two coats this felt so thick and heavy on my nails, to the point where I got an intense need to get it off IMMEDIATELY!! Then this was a NIGHTMARE to get off!! And I tried the tricks that everyone recommends to remove glittter polish more easily and it only minimally helped.

Covergirl Country Woods eyeshadow quad


When I bought this I had a covergirl trio which I love so I bought this. Thankfully I bought it with an awesome coupon so I pretty much got it for free. I was so dissappointed in the pigmentation of this quad. The color payoff for all four colors is terrible. Granted perhaps it is my skin tone that throws the color payoff off but that should be no excuse. In my opinion these shades are not buildable what so ever!

Suave Keratin Dry Shampoo

Now to be fair this dry shampoo does its job but the reason I regret buying it is for the smell!!! Some people either love the smell or hate it! To me it smells way to strong almost like a cheap perfume smell. Its hard to describe but just way to strong for my liking.

Covergirl Lipstick in Sultry



As I get more and more into makeup I have come to realize I just dont care for Covergirl as much. I haven't tried anything from them recently that I absolutely love. This makes me kind of sad cause I used to love them! Anyway my main complaint with this lipstick is the smell/ taste. I think if I am going to put something on my lips I want it to have either no smell or taste or a pleasant scent and nice taste. So if you happen to lick your lips or some of it gets into your mouth the taste is like plastic/ chemical -like. Needless to say this lipstick is collecting dust!

2. LOREAL INFALLIBLE EYESHADOWS


I CURRENTLY ONLY OWN AMBER RUSH AND BRONZED TAUPE. THESE ARE MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE EYESHADOWS! THEY ARE ADVERTISED AS BEING 24 HR SHADOWS, I AM NOT SURE IF THAT STATEMENT IS TRUE BUT I KNOW FOR ME THEY HAVE LASTED UP TO 16 HRS WITH PRIMER. GIRLS WITHOUT OILY LIDS HAVE SAID THEY RECEIVED THE SAME RESULTS WITHOUT PRIMER. THERE ARE 12 SHADOWS AVAILABLE. DEPENDING ON WHERE YOU GET THESE THEY RETAIL FOR AROUND: $6-$8.

3. PHYSICIANS FORMULA ORGANIC WEAR MASCARA

THIS MASCARA IS AMAZING FOR PEOPLE LIKE ME WHO SUFFER FROM SENSITIVE EYES OR ALLERGIES. IT DOES NOT CONTAIN ALOT OF THE BAD STUFF REGULAR MASCARAS CONTAIN. BEFORE EVERY MASCARA I WOULD USE WOULD BE FINE FOR A FEW HOURS, THEN IT WOULD BEGIN TO BURN MY EYES REALLY BADLY AND WOULD END IN A HORRIBLE SMEARED MESS. I HAVE THE BLACK ONE. I LOVE THIS EYELINER. IT STAYS DARK THROUGHOUT THE DAY AND APPLIES SO SMOOTHLY. I CAN ALWAYS TELL A MAJOR DIFFERENCE WHEN I USE A DIFFERENT EYELINER, FOR SOME REASON THIS ONE SEEMS TO GIVE MY EYES LIFE! THIS RETAILS FOR AROUND: $7-$8

5. ALMAY SMART SHADE MAKEUP

I RECENTLY GOT THIS PRODUCT. I BOUGHT IT BECAUSE I WAS LOOKING FOR SOMETHING LIKE A TINTED MOISTERIZER. I WASN'T EXPECTING A MIRACLE WITH THIS MAKEUP. BUT I ACTUALLY REALLY LOVE IT! IT IS LIGHT COVERAGE BUT FOR ME IT COVERS UP ENOUGH AND GIVES MY MAKEUP A NATURAL LOOK. I HAVE GOTTEN COMPLIMENTS EVERYTIME I WEAR THIS. THE ONLY HUGE DOWNSIDE IS THAT THE SHADE RANGE IS VERY LIMITED. SO REALLY MAKE SURE BEFORE YOU BUY THIS IF IT COULD REALLY MATCH YOU BECAUSE IT DOESN'T CONTAIN ANYTHING MAGICAL THAT IS INSTANTLY GOING TO MATCH EVERY SINGLE PERSON!
